  Walking improves the health of your wellness client and joining a walking group that meets once a week will improve their ability to stick with a walking routine. Walking with a group outdoors offers a positive habit cueing that leads to the positive habit of walking outdoors.  Being outdoors adds additional emotional benefits whether you are walking in a group or alone.  The research studies evaluated seven walk environments using the urban public space as a reference: Natural and semi-natural environments Green Corridors Farmlands Urban green spaces Coastal Urban Public Spaces Mixture Groups differed on the duration of their walks.  Walks that were rural were longer in duration with urban being around an hour and walks in the countryside lasting for more than 90 minutes.
